Our People
Willem Bon
With a summa cum laude degree in Dutch civil law from the University of Utrecht and a Monbusho scholarship that took him to the University of Tokyo, Willem’s academic credentials are second to none. He has worked as tax advisor across continents - from his early days at Loyens & Loeff (back then Loyens & Volkmaars) where he practiced in Asian and European offices to a decade spent in Brazil where he became international tax partner for EY, and later leading the tax practice of Loyens in Luxembourg.
Having practiced in five different jurisdictions, his expertise lies in international and European tax for both multinational corporations and high-net-worth individuals. He is a true technician, able to dissect even the most complex cases with precision, and his ability to anticipate outcomes long before anyone else makes him irreplaceable.
Martin Sluman
Martin started his journey in tax law at the university of Groningen, followed by an international stint at Loyens & Loeff in both the Netherlands and Japan. It was during these early years that he mastered the technical side of the profession, but his real transformation came after he started his own firm. Free from rigid corporate structures, Martin developed a fresh, unconventional approach to tax law - one that blends creativity with sharp, technical expertise.
What sets Martin apart is his ability to combine tax compliance with strategic advisory - a rare skill in the field. While many tax specialists excel at one or the other, Martin brings a blend of both to the table, ensuring that his clients not only meet their obligations but also see the bigger picture. His approach is never confined to the numbers; it is about finding innovative solutions that work in practice, while always staying a few steps ahead of the curve. He is the one who refuses to play by the traditional rulebook, and that is exactly what makes him unique.
Michel Slings
Michel is the quiet force that holds everything together. With a background in business, economics and tax law from Leiden University, Michel has spent over a decade at Loyens & Loeff and then another twenty years running his own tax advisory practice. But what really defines Michel is his ability to bring balance to even the most complex situations.
Specialising in Dutch income tax, corporate tax, as well as gift and inheritance tax, Michel works with directors, major shareholders, and high-net-worth individuals to fine-tune their tax positions and map out long-term estate planning strategies.
His expertise is wide-ranging, covering guiding family businesses to the next generation, reorganising companies, and preparing complex consolidated corporate tax returns. And when it comes to pension issues - an area where many get lost in the weeds - Michel’s methodical approach brings clarity and peace of mind. He is not the loudest voice in the room, but he is the one who ensures everything runs smoothly, seamlessly blending the pieces into a coherent whole.
Bram Pruim
Bram is the kind of person who locks onto a challenge and will not let go until it is conquered. With a background in tax law from the University of Groningen, 8 years spent at Loyens & Loeff and running his own tax advisory firm for almost 20 years, he has honed his skills in both the national and international tax world.
Whether it is navigating restructurings, mergers, acquisitions, tax audits or compliance, Bram digs in deep and does not stop until the job is done. His expertise spans a wide range of tax disciplines for corporate and private clients, with a special focus on tax-efficient business succession planning and real estate matters. If you want someone methodical, tenacious, and always driving towards results, Bram is the one you want in your corner.
